Saltwater fly fishing is perhaps the most exciting branch of our sport.

The first run of a large Permit or Bonefish can take your breath away as you watch the line disappear nervously -

and you marvel at the power of these wonderful combination of muscle and speed.

EV3 v.4 rod models rated for # 7-8 lines are for inshore species, Bonefish, Permit, Redfish, and Snook. EV3 v.4 rod models rated for # 9 or 10 lines are best for bigger Bone Fish or Permit, and are designed for efficient casting with large flies or bulky crab patterns in windy conditions.

Each EV3 v.4 rod blank is built with the very latest intermediate T800H/05 carbon fiber prepreg. Flats Hunter saltwater Blanks are all hand built and assembled with an intermediate modulus unidirectional carbon fibre that overall gives the rod its responsive action. To give the blank maximum tubular hoop strength a multi layer helical-bias inner carbon fiber core runs integral round the weft of the blank matrix. This construction gives the blank superior recovery and compression figures.

All my pre-pregs now incorporate advanced fortified resins for even tougher impact resistance. Flats Hunter blanks have a beautiful multi layered coat of tough UV resistant Pacific Blue two part polyurethane resin. 

This complex laminate gives the Norwich EV3 v.4 "FLATS HUNTER" rod  outstanding durability and superior stopping power that allows you to put maximum pressure on a fast running fish without fear of the blank wall collapsing. All EV3 fly rods are designed to enable comfortable all day casting. EV3 Fly Rods have a PFB1 factor fast recovery action. The rods are designed to drive tight wind cheating line loops - at close range or distance. The essential combination needed for successful saltwater fishing.

All EV3 blanks have a rugged UV resistant stoved two part polyurethane resin designed to cope with the harshest saltwater environment.

Norwich EV3 version 3 Flats Hunter Fly Rods feature as standard, my ultra tough, hand rolled carbon blanks.‘Super’ grade cork grips with custom CNC machined reel seat components. Each rod is hand wrapped and outfitted with stainless steel hard-chromed oversize snake intermediate guides. Tich insert oversize stripper butt guides are standard on all models. Each rod is individually numbered and supplied with a partitioned bag and are supplied in a Norwich custom made rod case.
