They have for many years been sought after by experienced well-travelled, salmon fly anglers who are looking for high performance, versatile, lightweight and easily-transportable rods.   Over the years, several of my rod design innovations have come about through special requests from regular customers for rods which they could not get anywhere else. I have enjoyed the challenge of building these individual custom rods, and have been pleased to find that there has been a substantial demand for these new models.

ev4 Advanced Carbon technology Salmon fly rods encapsulate every recent advance in tubular carbon composite technology. Developed and Hand-built here in my Scottish border country rod shop. All ev4 Salmon rods are initially field tested on the World famous River Tweed, only a short drive from my workshop.

F model 14ft Skagit is faster tip inclined action. E model 14ft Skagit has an easier full loading action.

 

The ev4 15'+ Model is designed for deep fast flowing waters or for deep pools

which require heavy duty sunk line shooting head tactics to present your fly to the Salmon efficiently. This rods will handle lines in excess of the AFTMA scale rating. For example the - Rio Leviathan & Scientific Anglers Deepwate Express fly lines.

All Norwich ev4 fly reel seats are designed to comply with the AFFTA fly reel foot standard. If you have an older reel with a longer foot. Please advise when ordering.
