At David Norwich we are immensely proud to be able to say our fly rods are different from every other fly rod you can buy.
From the specification of the custom sourced carbon fibre, exclusively designed mandrels - through to the unique pattern cut and lay up -
every part of the blank manufacturing process is completed right here in Great Britain.
Each Norwich ev2 two or three section carbon fibre rod joint is rolled on its own mandrel with its own special pattern - no corners are cut or shortcut's taken to achieve a seamless performance. Every section is flex-rated to locate the preferred plane of bending. These planes are then aligned throughout the rod blank. The smooth transfer of energy is maintained through our hand ground taper lock joint system - which allows a seamless transmission of energy from butt to tip to fly line.
ev2 Fly Rods excel in all three casting spheres, close-up requiring short line fast loading efficiency, medium range casting where accuracy is paramount, and distance casting where tight line loops and high line speed are essential.
A Norwich ev2 Fly Rod has exceptional design pedigree and performance. ev2 Fly Rod Blanks are built with unique tapers from proprietary scrimmed ultra low resin content carbon fibres.
A Norwich ev2 Fly Rod is ever evolving - a constant evolution. Constantly pushing the edge of the envelope of performance. As new high performance carbon fibre materials arrive on the market, they are assessed and incorporated into my rod designs.

Norwich ev2 Trout Fly Rods Feature as standard, exquisite ultra light, hand rolled high modulus, low resin carbon blanks. Top quality lathe turned cork grips with custom CNC machined reel seat components. Each rod is hand wrapped and outfitted with custom double hard-chromed single foot snake intermediates and silicon carbide insert stripper butt guides. All rods are individually numbered and supplied in a partitioned bag and a Norwich custom made aluminium rod case.
All ev Rod blanks are available in custom finishes other than the signature Matt Non Flash Carbon finish. Choose from Green Gloss, Clear Gloss, Black Gloss, Gloss Rich Chestnut Brown, Gloss translucent Royal Blue, or Matt combinations of all the Gloss Colours.
