HOW TO PAY FOR YOUR ORDER.

All David Norwich rods (excepting sale rods) and blank are built to the customer's order. For new Rod or Blank orders up to the value of £500.00 a deposit of £100.00 is required for Rods. For Rod Blanks only the deposit is £50.00. For Rods, Blanks or Rod Kits value £500.00 plus, a £200.00 deposit is required. The balance owing on all orders is payable within 21 days of notification that your order is completed. Please refer to the terms outlined below All rod repairs (Excluding Norwich rod Warranty work) must be pre-paid before work is commenced David Norwich Warranty and Optional Rod Warranty   CARRIAGE (U. Bank Transfer

To get the speediest service, try wherever possible to use direct bank transfer. This is by far the safest & most secure method of making a payment. No one other than yourself and your bank sees your confidential details. It is impossible provided you input our account number and sort code correctly in to your bank transfer instruction, for there to be any security error.

Cancellation of order.

I offer a genuine custom service. Every rod and blank is built individually for each customer. Cancellations can cause problems in re-selling a rod or blank if the order is cancelled. However I am happy to refund any deposit paid in the event that a customer ordering a rod or blank wishes to cancel their order. The customer can within 7 days of making the initial deposit, cancel your order and receive a full refund.

Deposits and Balances.

Deposits or payments for repair work are refundable up to 7 days from receipt of your order and deposit or full payment amount. After a 7 day period, a deposit is only refundable if work has not been started on the order. Should work have started an appropriate deduction will be made to cover labour and materials.

Deposits paid on rod or blank orders are non refundable if the customer fails to pay the balance owing within 30 days of notification that the balance is due. Failure to pay the balances due within 21 days of notification of a balance is due (without prior agreement of extension) will result in the order being offered for resale to recover the debt.

Refunds after Delivery.

I offer a true custom build service. All rods or blanks are made with great care and time to special order and are not supplied ex stock (with the exception of sale or ex-demonstration rods). It is therefore my aim to make you entirely happy with your purchase. Custom made Rods or Blanks being returned, for whatever reason, can present difficulties in offering these for resale.  A refund will only be made on custom built rods in very extreme circumstances. A request must be received in writing. This can be by letter, or email., giving the reason for the refund. A full refund (excluding carriage costs,) will be given if the rod or blank is returned within 7 days of receipt, carriage-paid and fully insured.

Refunds are offered on the basis of the full amount, less any costs incurred by David Norwich in modifying the rod or components to the customer's specification i.e. custom lengths or number of sections, lettering or modifications to components such as engraving undertaken to the customers specification. Such modifications prohibit the re-sale of a rod, and a fee proportionate to the value of the components and the costs of work involved in restoring a rod to non custom status will be made. Refunds will be issued on the basis that the order is returned in unused sound condition. See here for rod care advice. (Test casting a rod over grass or brief testing on water with the handle shrink wrap still in place is accepted as unused.) If the shrink wrap has been removed or the rod is showing evidence of prolonged use - or has been used for actual fishing, or is marked or damaged in any way that prevents re-stocking of the item in an as new condition, no complete refund will be offered.

No refunds will be given if the rod being returned is damaged in transit while being returned - the onus is on the customer to ensure that rods/blanks are adequately packed and insured in transit to the full retail value when being returned to David Norwich.  The onus is on the customer to pursue compensation from carriers in the event of a returned rod, blank or components being lost or damaged in transit. No refund will be given until all compensation for loss or damage is paid in full to David Norwich. All carriage charges are non refundable.

WARRANTY RETURNS AND RODS BEING SENT FOR REPAIR:

If you are returning goods for attention, please send carefully-packed (if possible in original packing material), post-paid and fully insured to my  HILLSIDE WORKS Address. If using Royal Mail/Parcel force please ensure that package is insured in transit. I am not responsible for goods lost or damaged in transit to David Norwich.

Do not forget to enclose a contact name, address, Tel number and email address if possible.

If returning Rods or Rod Blanks under the ‘Three Breaks Warranty', please enclose the relevant Handling, processing payment of £45.00 for single handed fly rods or £65.00 for double handed rods. (this fee is current as off January 2010 and is subject to change without prior notice and at the cost ruling at the date of claim).

(Excluding Switch rod handles, Salmon Handles and Rod Tubes) Please add £3.25 postage & packing charge on orders value up to £30.00 U.K. Orders value £30.00 or over (excluding Switch, Salmon Handles & Rod Tubes) are packed & posted free of charge, and are despatched by Insured Recorded Delivery. We can post small rod component orders by 1st class letter post, @ £2.25 per order, but advise you that this will be despatched at your own risk if lost in transit.
