All David Norwich rods and blank are built to the customer's order. For orders up to the value of £500.00 a deposit of £100.00 is required. For Rods, Blanks or Rod Kits value £500.00 plus, a £200.00 deposit is required. The balance owing on all orders is payable when the rod is completed and before despatch or is payable on collection. CARRIAGE (U. K. ONLY): RODS/ROD BLANKS/ KITS Insured Carriage & Packing is £ 10.00 by UPS Courier. Approximately. 2 working day delivery to the U.K mainland. Cancellation of order.

I offer a genuine custom service. Every rod and blank is built individually for each customer. Cancellations can cause problems in re-selling a rod or blank if the order is cancelled. However I am happy to refund any deposit paid in the event that a customer ordering a rod or blank wishes to cancel their order. The customer can, within 7 days of making the initial deposit, cancel your order and receive a full refund. After the 7 day period (or in the event that work has started on the order within that period) I regret that a full refund of the deposit is not possible. An appropriate deduction will be made commensurate with the costs of labour and material outlay at the time of cancellation in any deposit refund amounts.

I can accept payment by Cash/Postal Order/Cheque. Orders should be sent to the address below. Please include your name, address, (including postcode) and daytime telephone number, email address and full details of your order. Please make cheques payable to ‘D. Norwich' and allow 7 days for clearance on all orders paid by personal cheque.

PAYMENT SCHEME (U.K. ONLY):

For purchases over £ 200 and up to £ 500 in value, paid by direct Bank Transfer or personal cheque/money order, you may pay by credit terms.

There is a 5% charge for orders purchased on credit terms.

Your deposit of £100 plus £12.00 Carriage fee plus the overall 5% credit fee will be payable at the time of order and the remaining balance will be paid by-monthly installments of £50.00 or part thereof.

Similarly for purchases over £ 500, you can opt for our payment scheme by paying a deposit of £200 plus £12.00 Carriage fee plus the overall 5% credit fee. This will be payable at the time of order and the remaining balance will be paid by-monthly installments of £50.00 or part thereof.

You will be asked to complete a Payment Scheme Form detailing and authorizing your payments schedule. This will be sent to your home address. This should be returned to the address below before your order can be processed.

Please note goods remain the property of ‘David Norwich' until all payments are made in full. Any installments which fail to clear my account will immediately render the remaining balance due in full, and you will be liable for any costs incurred in debt collection and securing payment of amounts owing.

When ordering a complete rod, blank or components on credit from David Norwich, you are agreeing to abide by the terms and conditions laid out above.

Refunds after Delivery.

I offer a true custom build service. All rods or blanks are made with great care and time to special order and are not supplied ex stock (with the exception of sale or ex-demonstration rods). It is therefore my aim to make you entirely happy with your purchase. Custom made Rods or Blanks being returned, for whatever reason, can present difficulties in offering these for resale.  A refund request must be received in writing. This can be by letter, or email. A full refund excluding carriage costs, will be given if the rod or blank is returned within 7 days of receipt, carriage-paid and fully insured. This full refund is offered on the basis of the full amount, less any costs incurred by David Norwich in modifying components to the customer's specification i.e. custom lettering or modifications to components such as engraving undertaken to the customers specification. Such modifications prohibit the re-sale of a rod, and a fee proportionate to the value of the components and the costs of work involved in restoring a rod to non custom status will be made. Refunds will be issued on the basis that the order is returned in unused sound condition. See here for additional rod care advice. (Test casting a rod over grass or brief testing on water is accepted as unused.) If the item is showing evidence of prolonged use or has been used for actual fishing, or is marked or damaged in any way that prevents re-stocking of the item in an as new condition, an appropriate deduction - will be made on assessment of the used condition of the item. 

No refund will be given if the rod being returned is damaged in transit while being returned - the onus is on the customer to ensure that rods/blanks are adequately packed and insured in transit to the full retail value when being returned to David Norwich.  The onus is on the customer to pursue compensation from carriers in the event of a returned rod, blank or components being lost or damaged in transit. All carriage charges are non refundable.

When ordering a complete rod, blank or components from David Norwich, you are agreeing to abide by the terms and conditions laid out above.

WARRANTY RETURNS AND RODS BEING SENT FOR REPAIR:

If you are returning goods for attention, please send carefully-packed (if possible in original packing material), post-paid and fully insured to my  HILLSIDE WORKS Address. If using Royal Mail/Parcel force please ensure that package is insured in transit. I am not responsible for goods lost or damaged in transit to David Norwich.

Do not forget to enclose a contact name, address, Tel number and email address if possible.

If returning Rods or Rod Blanks under the ‘Three Breaks Warranty', please enclose the relevant Handling, processing payment of £45.00 for single handed fly rods or £65.00 for double handed rods. (this fee is current as off January 2010 and is subject to change without prior notice and at the cost ruling at the date of claim).
