This rod was developed originally from a custom rod order received from a successful Scottish International fishing team Captain. The design allows rapid lift off and change of direction to cover fast moving Trout at distance. The rod has a reserve of power to lift long belly intermediate lines off the water without roll casting and will in the right hands, comfortably throw 30yards of line from the seated position. The original brief was for a light fast action rod suitable for all day casting with both floating and sinking lines. The prototype was so successfull the team now uses these rods exclusively.
This rod has been a consistent best seller for the past few years and has seen minor updates in carbon material and taper design since the original was conceivied in late 2007 to further improve performance.
