THE NORWICH THREE BREAKS WARRANTY INFORMATION.

I could source the materials and components from the Far East for David Norwich Rods and Blanks at much lower cost and much lower quality and offer an unconditional lifetime guarantee as some manufacturers do. However, David Norwich Graphite Rods and Blanks are manufactured in house to the very highest standards using only the finest craftsmanship and materials throughout. As a result my prices reflect the true cost of manufacture, and not the hidden cost of an unconditional breakage warranty which is often added into the price of inferior Far Eastern sourced products.

Should you detect any fault in materials or workmanship in your Norwich EV series fly rod or blank within 12 months from date of purchase, please return the rod and purchase receipt directly to me adequately packaged and if possible in its original packing material for immediate attention.

The Statuatary guarantee and the additional David Norwich Warranty does not cover damage caused by the owner or others through attempted modifications, unauthorized repair, misuse or custom changes to a rod, theft or consequential loss. Any such modifications or unauthorised repairs will render all warranties invalid.

This original owner additional complimentary breakage insurance is in addition to your statutory rights. In addition I offer the THREE BREAKS WARRANTY on all Norwich EV2, EV3, EV4 series Graphite Fly Rods or Rod Blanks :- If you accidentally break or damage a David Norwich EV Series Fly Rod or Blank*, I will repair or replace the rod section, at my discretion, on three separate occasions. This limited lifetime warranty applies only to the original registered owner of the rod and is only valid while the rod is in the possession or is being used by the original registered owner. The warranty is not transferable to a new owner if the rod is sold. The Three Breaks Warranty therefore gives you the reassurance that if you do have an accident with your Norwich fly rod, I will put it right.

In the event of a claim under this Warranty proof of purchase will be required. Please retain the original owner signed warranty document and keep it in a safe place. In the event of a claim this must be returned with the purchase receipt and the relevant processing fee. (Note: A photocopy is not acceptable) Once the claim has been processed, the receipt and warranty information document will be returned to you with the repaired rod.

This Breakage Warranty is underwritten by an Insurance Company and this processing fee is reviewed periodically. Processing Fees are subject to change without prior notice at overheads, material costs and insurance premium costs ruling at the date of claim. NOTE: The charges quoted above are only valid for 12 months from the date shown beside the rod or blank reference number on the warranty document supplied with each rod. When returning rods or rod blank for repair, please enclose a payment of - £46.00* (all single handed models) or £67.00* for All double handed models. To cover processing and handling. *(Current charges as at April 2010)

This Warranty only covers the breakage of individual rod sections. If a rod is rendered completely irreparable at an economic cost as a result of total breakage or damage, i.e. two sections(on a two section rod) or three or more sections on multi-section rods, you will be offered a complete new replacement rod at a reduced cost of 50% of the current retail price, i.e. rod retail prices ruling at the time of the claim. The Three Breaks Warranty will not be carried forward to the replacement rod or blank. This will only be covered by a statutory 12 months warranty. The Full Three Breaks Warranty is available for the replacement rod for an additional fee of £45.00 for single Handed rods and £75.00 for all double handed rods. These fees are subject to change without prior notice.

PLEASE RETURN THE WHOLE ROD. DO NOT SEND THE BROKEN SECTION ONLY. THIS IS ESSENTIAL TO ENSURE THAT IF A NEW SECTION IS SUPPLIED, IT FITS THE ADJOINING SECTIONS CORRECTLY.

RODS RARELY GET LOST BY CARRIERS, BUT IN THE EVENT THAT THE ROD DOES GO ASTRAY. PLEASE NOTIFY ME BEFORE HAND BY EMAIL, LETTER OR TELEPHONE BEFORE DESPATCH - TO ENSURE THAT I AM AWARE A ROD IS BEING RETURNED FOR ATTENTION.

All rods returned for warranty claim attention should be carriage-paid and fully-insured and include the original purchase receipt.
Note :- Carriage costs incurred in returning rods for attention are non-refundable. I cannot accept liability for rods damaged in transit to me. The onus is on the sender of the rod to ensure that the rod being returned for attention is securely packaged to ensure safe transit and that adequate compensation can be obtained by the sender from the carrier in the event of damage or loss in transit.

Do not forget to include a full return address and contact telephone number (and email address if possible.) Please Include a cheque for the relevant processing charge,* and send it to my works address below, and I will repair it or replace the broken parts it at my discretion.
The work will be carried out as soon as possible after receipt of the rod.
