Designed and hand rolled here in my Scottish borders workshop from my latest

custom specification High Modulus HMG - g3 carbon.

Utilizing new compound mandril tapers and pattern revisions for 2007 HMG- g3 carbon offers a significant performance jump on my previous HMG carbon.

New HMG-g3 with new tougher high impact pre impregnated epoxy resin/carbon matrix offers greater strain rates and weight reduction.

Recovery rates on all models improve on past design and are

built to the edge of the envelope in performance, but with increased hoop strength and power in reserve - to cope with any situation.

All my rod blanks are cut and rolled from the raw pre-preg carbon fibre sheet material and made to order.

Please take this into account when ordering and allow time for manufacture and delivery. Currently this is approximately 3-4 weeks on most blanks.

There is a model to cover most requirements, but if there is something you require that is not listed, perhaps a different action or line rating. Please ask for a quotation.

Blank prices shown are for std unsanded carbon grey spiral finish. You can sand them smooth yourself with care or have it done here at a small extra charge of £6.00 per section

Coloured finishes over the standard unsanded finish are available add 10% to prices for colours. Clear gloss, Brown gloss, Green gloss and Blue gloss.

A low flash finish is also an option at no extra cost on all colours above. When ordering please indicate that you require this option otherwise my std gloss finish will be supplied

Example: 9ft 6inch #6/7 HM - g3 2pce blank. List £95.00 plus colour of choice £9.50 = £104.50.

Add a further £10.00 (£5.00 per section) if you require the smooth sanded finish option before the gloss colour coat is applied

HMG - g3 Fly Rod Blank Actions

As a guide single handed HMG-g3 blanks of medium length 9ft - 9ft 6inch , are fast and progressive in action.

Longer length single handed blanks have a slightly more progressive action but, are still fast in recovery - not through action and have good reserve power in the lower third and butt. Shorter rods under 8ft for #4/5 and under lines, are designed to load easily on a short line but are not excessively soft and have reserve of power in the butt and fast recovery for longer casts.

HMG - g3 Saltwater blanks are fast and progressive with more

g3 material in the butt for "stopping power."

HMG - g3 Salmon Double Handed Fly Rod Blanks

HMG - g2 Salmon double handed blanks are all-rounders and not limited to one casting style. They will overhand and underhand cast well but, with the emphasis on good spey-casting ability.

The mult-section HMG-g3 models are carefully designed to perform equally as well as my three section Salmon fly rod blanks.

The HMG - g3 15ft EP Salmon models is designed for heavy duty sunk line work or long range casting with lines from #12-14 but will also spey or undernand cast well when correctly loaded with a

heavier spey type line.

Fully built Salmon rods are available built on any HMG-3 blank with rod components of your choice from only £285.00
