I could source the materials and components from the Far East for David Norwich Rods and Blanks at much lower cost and much lower quality, and offer an unconditional lifetime guarantee as some manufacturers do. David Norwich Graphite Rods and Blanks are however exclusively manufactured individually one at a time to the customers order, in house - to the very highest standards, and use only the finest quality materials and craftsmanship throughout.

My prices reflect the true cost of manufacture and the value we place on our work. Rod prices do not reflect the hidden cost of an unconditional breakage warranty, which is often added into the price of inferior imported products.

Should you detect any fault in materials or workmanship on receipt of your Norwich EV series fly rod or blank, please return the rod and purchase receipt directly to me adequately packaged, and if possible in its original packing material for immediate attention.

This Statutory guarantee does not cover accidental damage, wear and tear, or breakage caused by accident either by the owner or others through attempted modifications, unauthorized repair, misuse or custom changes to a rod, theft or consequential loss.

Any such modifications or unauthorised repairs will render all warranties invalid.

OPTIONAL BREAKAGE WARRANTY INFORMATION.

For an additional fee of £35.00 for single Handed rods and £55.00 for all double handed rods your rod can be covered for repair or damage for any reason, for the life of the original owner.* Subject to the fees listed below**.
This original owner additional optional breakage insurance is in addition to your statutory rights. I offer this optional warranty on all Norwich EV series Graphite Fly Rods or Rod Blanks :- If you accidentally break or damage a David Norwich EV Series Fly Rod or Blank***, I will on payment of the appropriate fee, repair or replace the rod section, at my discretion. This limited additional warranty applies only to the original registered owner of the rod and is only valid while the rod is in the possession or is being used by the original registered owner. The warranty is not transferable to a new owner if the rod is sold. This additional warranty therefore gives you the reassurance that if you do have an accident with your - David Norwich fly rod, I will put it right.

***If a blank only or a self assembly rod kit is purchased, the warranty only covers damage or breakage of the rod blank or section. All other components (excepting handles or reel seats fitted by David Norwich before delivery) used in the construction of the rod are not covered by this warranty.

This warranty only covers the breakage of individual rod sections. If a rod is rendered completely irreparable at an economic cost as a result of total breakage or damage, i.e. two sections(on a two section rod) or three or more sections on multi-section rods, you will be offered a complete new replacement rod at the reduced cost of 50% of the current advertised retail price ruling at the time of the claim. The original warranty will then be null and void and will not be carried forward to the replacement rod. This will only be covered by a statutory 12 months warranty.

The breakage warranty can be renewed and is available for the replacement rod for an additional fee of £40.00 for single Handed rods and £60.00 for all double handed rods. These fees are subject to change without prior notice.

This Breakage Warranty is underwritten by our Insurance Company and this processing fee is reviewed periodically. Processing Fees are subject to change without prior notice at overheads, material costs, carriage, and insurance premium costs ruling at the date of claim.

All rods returned for warranty claim attention or non warranty work should be carriage-paid and fully-insured and include the original purchase receipt.(Note: A photocopy is not acceptable)

Carriage costs incurred in returning rods for attention are non-refundable.

David Norwich accepts no liability for rods damaged in transit to David Norwich for repair. The onus is on the sender of the rod to ensure that the rod being returned for attention is securely packaged to ensure safe transit and that adequate compensation can be obtained by the sender from the carrier in the event of damage or loss in transit.

Do not forget to include a full return address and contact telephone number (and an email address if possible.) Please Include the relevant processing fees, and send it to my works address below, and I will repair it or replace the broken parts it at my discretion.

Receipt of the rod will be acknowledged as soon as possible after receipt. Warranty repairs always receive priority attention over any other work in progress. The work will be carried out as soon as possible after receipt of the rod.
